Hicksons kicks off FY18 by welcoming 2 new partners to its leadership group

Hicksons Lawyers is proud to announce the appointment of Jennifer Parkes and Quincy Wong as new partners to the firm's leadership group from 1 July 2017.

'The promotion to partnership is recognition of both Jennifer and Quincy's legal expertise and deep engagement with the firm's clients', said Managing Partner John Markos.

Jennifer Parkes, Newcastle

Jennifer is a commercial lawyer and advises clients on a full range of employment, industrial and Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) issues with a particular focus on discrimination, bullying and harassment in the workforce. Her promotion reflects the firm’s commitment to the Newcastle region and diversified service offering. Jennifer joined the firm in September 2006 and has an excellent technical knowledge of the legislative and strategic demands of workplace law, particularly in servicing the tertiary education sector.

Quincy Wong, Sydney

Quincy is a commercial lawyer with a particular focus and experience in information technology and intellectual property. He is a registered trade mark attorney and has also been trained on critical aspects of negotiation and mediation at Harvard. Quincy joined Hicksons in 2007 and has over the years been involved in some of the firm's largest and most complex matters. His promotion is a testimony of the continued growth of our Corporate and Commercial team.

In addition to the promotion of 2 new partners, the firm also confirmed the promotion of 1 Senior Associates and 3 Associates:

According to John Markos, 'Hicksons people are the foundation of the firm and a key part of our strategy. We continue investing in growing our new generation of talent to become future leaders who will create sustainable value for our clients, our people and the firm.

Hicksons Lawyers will move into their new Sydney premises in One International Tower Sydney at Barangaroo later this month. Barangaroo is considered to be the new financial and professional services hub in Sydney. Mr Markos believes 'the firm's move to Barangaroo is an important investment into creating an inspiring and inclusive work environment for our people to perform at their very best.'

'One International Tower Sydney is the right address for Hicksons and we look forward to welcome our public and private clients and show them our new home.'
