Alexandra (Alex) is an Associate within Hicksons Workplace Relations, Employment and Safety team, with in-depth experience acting for both public and private clients in NSW and New Zealand.
Alex’s expertise encompasses a wide range of workplace health and safety matters, including psychosocial risks in the workplace and work health and safety prosecutions, modern slavery regulations and wage theft. Her experience covers the full spectrum of workplace relations matters, including adverse action and unfair dismissal claims, employee minimum entitlements and award interpretation.
In additional to acting on behalf of government organisations and council-controlled organisations in New Zealand, Alex has acted for ports, public and private healthcare, the hotel and hospitality industry and liquor franchises.
Admitted to both the New Zealand High Court and NSW Supreme Court, Alex has appeared in the Australian Federal Circuit Court, NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal, and New Zealand Employment Court and Employment Relations Authority (equivalent to the Fair Work Commission in Australia).
