Liz is a Special Counsel within our General Insurance team.
As an experienced defendant insurance litigator, she works with major Australian and London-based insurers on a broad range of insurance issues, including professional indemnity, property damage, public and product liability, fraud claims, strata claims and personal injury claims.
With 20 years’ experience defending professional indemnity claims, Liz is well-versed in defending brokers, engineers, surveyors, accountants, real estate agents and building managers. Liz also has extensive experience defending a range of personal injury claims, including catastrophic brain injury and death claims.
Liz also pursues recovery actions on behalf of insurers.
Liz is well known for her expertise in interpreting contracts and insurance policy construction, including professional indemnity, public and product liability, E&O (coverage advice) and complex ISR wordings.
With specialist expertise dealing with property damage (water ingress, paint overspray, infestation, and fire) and product liability claims, she understands the importance of forensic investigations and the provision of practical, commercial advice.
Highly regarded for her expert litigation, strategic negotiation and forensic skills, Liz is known for developing unique strategies and helping her clients to obtain optimum outcomes.
Liz holds a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws from Monash University, and is a member of the Law Society of NSW.
