Our first instalment of Tech Everest for 2024 was an informative session with guest speaker Emma Weston, CEO & Co-Founder of AgriDigital.
In an interesting discussion with Hani Iskander, Emma spoke about her entrepreneurial journey in creating AgriDigital in 2016 along with two fellow co-founders.
Emma spoke about her experience in raising capital.
By keeping abreast with cycles in the Agri-market alongside a good mutual understanding with investors, this has helped to build a great business. Emma went onto discuss the commercial barriers they have encountered in the industry and how AgriDigital discovered pragmatic solutions.

We welcomed Lisa Vincent, the dynamic Founder & CEO of HowToo. The moderated Q&A with Hani Iskander touched on the challenges Lisa has faced and overcome whilst founding
HowToo, an online training platform used by organisations.
Lisa delved into how the platform has exceeded her expectations by providing teachers with cultural awareness training, the importance of finding ‘raw gems’ in talent sourcing and how regularly revisiting customer experience is vital to the success of business.
The informative session was a really useful insight to how a Tech Founder dedicates time to every asepct of the business to ensure the product is continusouly valuable to customers.

Our third instalment of Tech Everest welcomed Nelson Ball, Vice President of Investments at Arcadea Group. After spending four years as Head of M&A at Constellation Software, Nelson co-founded Arcadea over two years ago. The global business has presence in Australia, New Zealand, Denmark and North Amercia.
During the Q&A moderated by Hani Iskander, Nelson spoke the landscape of investing in technology companies from growth curves of businesses to aggregators and the importance of building rapport with future investors years before striking a deal.

David Willington, Co-Founder & Partner at Bombora, a
funds management business that focusses on investing in and adding value to high growth early-stage companies.
Prior to funds management, David had a 20 year career in Corporate Finance and Investment Banking having been a Senior M&A Advisory Partner at Deloitte Corporate Finance for over 10 years.
