Jessica is a Partner in the Health team, acting for public health organisations and government agencies in civil claims and coronial inquests.
With a background specialising in medical negligence, Jessica defends claims involving allegations of failure to warn, delay in diagnosis, surgical errors, intentional torts, sexual assault and institutional abuse, occupiers liability and health privacy. Her areas of practice include catastrophic injury, obstetrics, emergency medicine, mental health and nervous shock, among others.
Clients appreciate her pro-active approach to matters, especially in litigation and dispute resolution, understanding the need to resolve claims expeditiously for favourable outcomes on both sides.
Additionally, her in-depth understanding of the sensitive and reputational issues for clients in the government sector means she is able to provide high-quality and commercial advice to manage such claims.
Jessica holds a Bachelor of Laws (Hons), and Bachelor of Science (Jurisprudence).
