Casey has more than 10 years’ experience advising and assisting workers compensation insurer clients.
She frequently appears in the Workers Compensation Commission and is experienced in lodging medical and arbitrator appeals, specialises in recovery claims and is highly experienced in advising about work injury damages claims.
Skilled at providing strategies for the management of new work injury damages claims, representing defendant employers during mediation and assisting counsel during trials, Casey also has an extensive civil litigation practice which focuses on the recovery of compensation paid by the insurer client from negligent third parties.
These involve pursuing litigation on behalf of insurers over personal injuries relating to motor accidents, negligence, compensation to relatives’ claims, breach of contract and breach of statutory duty.
Casey holds a Bachelor of Laws, joined Hicksons in 2011 and is admitted to practice in NSW.
