Hicksons acknowledges the sudden passing of Alan Osburg

It is with great sadness that Hicksons acknowledges the sudden passing of Alan Osburg last Friday.

Alan started with Hickson, Lakeman and Holcombe in 1966. He became a Partner in 1973 and decided he could step back from that role and enjoy greater time with his family and his beloved horses in 2004 following some particular successes with Exceed And Excel & Dixie Blossoms. He continued as a Consultant with Hicksons until last Friday.

He contributed enormously to the fabric of the firm, it’s people and his loyal clients. He was one of the most loved partners of the firm with his sense of humour, mischievous nature and great interest in the people he worked with and for. He was a very talented lawyer, with a great sense of practical commercial acumen to go with his keen intellect.

Alan was a kind, humble, yet gentle man. He was a great friend and mentor to many and will be missed dearly.

Our deepest condolences to Alan’s family and friends. May he rest in peace.
