Helen is a Senior Associate within the Workplace Relations, Employment and Safety team at Hicksons, with extensive experience acting for public and community sector clients throughout New South Wales and the Australian Capital Territory.
Highly regarded in the industry, Helen brings to the team 15 years of legal experience. She has delivered expert advice on industrial relations and employment law issues and disputes and has appeared before the Fair Work Commission and Federal Court in litigated matters, drafted employment contracts and negotiated and drafted deeds of settlement.

Helen provides effective, timely and solutions-oriented advice to resolve workplace issues as they arise.
Prior to joining Hicksons, Helen led the governance and legal teams at the City of Newcastle Council. She has extensive experience in areas of law including employment and workplace relations, occupational discipline, civil litigation, governance and regulatory, tenancy and victims compensation.
By developing a comprehensive understanding of her clients and their needs, Helen provides high level advice on complex and sensitive matters, assisting her clients to achieve optimal outcomes.
Since 2017, Helen has also been involved in Pro-bono work and student mentoring at the University of Newcastle Legal Centre.
